This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3 and Dorado18000 V3. Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

change snmp version

Function

The change snmp version command is used to set the status of the SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c protocols. To ensure compatibility, the system still supports SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c. To ensure data security, it is strongly recommended to use SNMPv3.

The value can be On or Off.

Usage Guidelines

  • By default, the SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c are Off.
  • By default, the SNMPv3 is On.

Example

  • To set protocol SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c to Off, run the following command.
    admin:/>change snmp version v1v2c_switch=Off 
    Command executed successfully.
  • To set protocol SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c to On, run the following command.
    admin:/>change snmp version v1v2c_switch=On 
    CAUTION: You are about to enable SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c. But you are advised to use the secure SNMPv3 protocol only. 
    Do you wish to continue?(y/n)y 
    Command executed successfully.
