This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3 and Dorado18000 V3. Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

show remote_device general

show remote_device general


The show remote_device general command is used to query information on remote devices.


show remote_device general [ scope=? ] [ remote_device_id=? ] [ array_type=? ]






ID of a remote device.

To obtain the value, run "show remote device general" without parameters.


Scope of a query.

The value can be:

  • "linked_array": The remote devices that have been connected to the storage system will be queried for.
  • "all": Any created remote devices will be queried for no matter those devices have connected to the storage system or not.


Type of a remote device.

The value can be:

  • replication:The remote device is made by Huawei.
  • heterogeneity:The remote device is made by a third-party manufacturer.
  • cloud_replication: The remote device is made by Huawei and supports cloud replication.



Usage Guidelines

  • The following parameters or parameter sets are mutually exclusive: scope, remote_device_id, and array_type.
  • Run the show remote_device general command to query the information about all remote devices.
  • Run the show remote_device general remote_device_id= command to query the information about a specified remote device.
  • Run the show remote_device general scope= command to query the information about remote devices in a specified scope.
  • Run the show remote_device general array_type= command to query the information about remote devices with a specified type.

Name of remote device.

Health Status

Health state of remote device.

Running Status

Running state of remote device.


World wide name of remote device.


Serial number of remote device.

Device Type

Type of remote device.

Remote Device Type

Product ID of remote device.


Vendor of the remote device.

FC Link Number

Number of Fibre Channel links on the remote device.

ISCSI Link Number

Number of iSCSI links on the remote device.

Compress Algorithm

Compression algorithm used between arrays.

Compress Judge

Checks whether the compression function for data transmission between arrays is enabled.

Compress Algvalid

Indicates whether the compression algorithm takes effect.
