This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3 and Dorado18000 V3. Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

show event

Function

The show event command is used to query the events generated by the storage system.

Format

show event [ from_time=? | to_time=? | level=? | number=? | sequence=? | object_type=? | event_type=? ] *

from_time=?

Start time of event query. All events generated later than this point in time will be displayed.

NOTE:

Enter local time for from_time.

The value is in the format of "year-month-day"/"hour:minute:second", where:

  • "year": The year ranges from 2000 to 2035.
  • "month": The month ranges from 01 to 12.
  • "day": The day ranges from 01 to 31.
  • "hour": The hour ranges from 00 to 23.
  • "minute": The minute ranges from 00 to 59.
  • "second": The second ranges from 00 to 59.

to_time=?

End time of event query. All events generated earlier than this point in time will be displayed.

NOTE:

Enter local time for to_time.

The value is in the format of "year-month-day"/"hour:minute:second", where:

  • "year": The year ranges from 2000 to 2035.
  • "month": The month ranges from 01 to 12.
  • "day": The day ranges from 01 to 31.
  • "hour": The hour ranges from 00 to 23.
  • "minute": The minute ranges from 00 to 59.
  • "second": The second ranges from 00 to 59.

level=?

Event severity.

The value can be "warning", "major", "critical", or "informational", where:

  • "warning": The log message is for warning.
  • "major": The log message is major.
  • "critical": The log message is critical.
  • "informational": The log message is informational.

number=?

Maximum number of events that you want to query.

The value is an integer ranging from 1 to 10000.

sequence=?

Event sequence number.

The value is an integer between 1 and 4294967295. To obtain the value, run "show event" without parameters.

object_type=?

Alarm object type.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 65535.

event_type=?

Event type.

In admin mode, the value can be "operation_log", or "run_log".

In developer mode, the value can be "inner_event", "operation_log", or "run_log".

Usage Guidelines

  • The system time ranges from 2000-01-01/00:00:01 to 2035-12-31/23:59:59 in UTC.
  • If too many events are displayed, press "q" to stop displaying more events.
  • The sequence parameter is mutually exclusive with all other parameters.

  • Query existing events generated by the storage system.
