This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3 and Dorado18000 V3. Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

delete file


The delete file command is used to delete files of a specific type from the system memory or system disk, where the files to be deleted have been exported before.


delete file filetype=? [ interlog_name=? ] [ controller_id=? ]






File type.

The value can "event", "log", "running_data", "configuration_data", "all_log", "smart", "workload", "call_home", "diagnostic_file", "isolated_disklog", "running_disklog", "cloudbackup_log", "all_cloudbackup_log", or "capacity_file", where:

  • "event": indicates event files.
  • "log": indicates recent log files.
  • "running_data": indicates system running data files.
  • "configuration_data": indicates system configuration files.
  • "all_log": indicates all logs of the system.
  • "smart": indicates disk SMART information.
  • "workload": indicates workload.
  • "call_home": indicates Call Home data.
  • "diagnostic_file": diagnostic file.
  • "isolated_disklog": isolated disk log info.
  • "running_disklog": running disk log info.
  • "cloudbackup_log": indicates recent cloudbackup log info.
  • "all_cloudbackup_log": indicates all cloudbackup log info.
  • "capacity_file": indicates the historical capacity information file.


Controller ID.

Controller IDs are separated by commas (,). The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC", or "XD", where the "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3, for example: "0A","1C". This parameter can be specified only when "filetype" is set to "log", "all_log", "call_home", "workload", "smart", "isolated_disklog", "running_disklog", "cloudbackup_log", or "all_cloudbackup_log".


Name of the exported running disk log.

This parameter can be specified only when "filetype" is set to "running_disklog".



Usage Guidelines



  • Delete event files from the system memory, where the files to be deleted have been exported before.
    admin:/>delete file filetype=event 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Delete the exported diagnostic file.
    admin:/>delete file filetype=diagnostic_file 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Delete exported running disklog files.
    admin:/>delete file filetype=running_disklog interlog_name=CTE1.1_210235G7JK10D7000085.tgz controller_id=1A 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Delete the exported recent cloudbackup file.
    admin:/>delete file filetype=cloudbackup_log 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Delete the exported all cloudbackup file.
    admin:/>delete file filetype=all_cloudbackup_log 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Delete the exported historical capacity information file.
    admin:/>delete file filetype=capacity_file 
    Command executed successfully.
