Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

add remote_device link iscsi

Function

The add remote_device link iscsi command is used to add Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) links. Run this command to connect the storage system to a remote device through iSCSI links.

Format

add remote_device link_iscsi remote_device_id=? local_controller=? local_port_id=? ip=? [ recovery_policy=? ] [ fast_write_enabled=? ]

remote_device_id=?

ID of a remote device.

To obtain the value, run "show remote_device general".

local_controller=?

ID of a local controller to which a link routes.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC" or "XD", where the "X" is an integer such as 0, 1.

local_port_id=?

ID of an iSCSI host port.

To obtain the value, run "show port general".

ip=?

IP address of a remote device.

recovery_policy=?

Link recovery policy.

The value can be:

  • "automatic": indicates automatic recovery.
  • "manual": indicates manual recovery.

The default value is "automatic".

fast_write_enabled=?

Switch of fast write.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where:

  • "yes": Fast write will be enabled.
  • "no": Fast write will not be enabled.

The default value is "yes".

Example

Add an iSCSI link for remote device "0", where the local controller is controller "0A", the ID of the employed port is "ENG0.A4.P0", and the IP address of the remote device is "192.168.5.2". The ID and output vary depending on a specific product.
