This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3 and Dorado18000 V3. Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

reboot storage service


The reboot storage service command is used to restart storage system services.


reboot storage service service_name=? [ controller_id=? ]






Name of the service to be restarted.

The value of "service_name" is "DeviceManager".


ID of a controller.

The value is in the format of "XA","XB","XC","XD", where the "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3, for example: "0A".

Usage Guidelines

  • Run the reboot storage service service_name=DeviceManager command to restart the DeviceManager service on all online controllers.
  • Run the reboot storage service service_name=DeviceManager [ controller_id=? ] command to restart the DeviceManager service on a specific controller.


Restarting the DeviceManager service on all online controllers.

admin:/>reboot storage service service_name=DeviceManager 
DANGER: You are about to restart the DeviceManager for the storage system. 
This operation causes the DeviceManager unavailable temporarily.  
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, ensure that all users have exit the DeviceManager.
