This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3 and Dorado18000 V3. Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

change controller smartport_work_mode

Function

The change controller smartport_work_mode command is uesed to modify the work mode of the smart ports on a specific controller.

Format

change controller smartport_work_mode controller=? mode=?

Parameters

Parameter

Description

Value

controller=?

ID of a controller.

The value is in the format of "XA", "XB", "XC" or "XD", where the "X" is an integer ranging from 0 to 3, for example: "0A", "1C". To obtain the value, run "show controller general" without parameter.

mode=?

Smart ports work mode.

The value can be "FC", or "Ethernet", where:

  • "FC": indicates the smart ports on the controller work on FC mode.
  • "Ethernet": indicates the smart ports on the controller work on Ethernet mode.

Usage Guidelines

  • Before you perform this operation, ensure that the services of all smart ports on the controller are stopped.
  • After performing this operation, create a new network based on the current work mode of the smart ports on the controller.

Example

To change the work mode of the smart ports on the controller whose ID is "0A" to FC.

admin:/>change controller smartport_work_mode controller=0A mode=FC 
DANGER:You are about to modify the work mode of the smart ports on the controller. 
This operation will interrupt the services of all smart ports on the controller. 
Suggestion: 
1. Before you perform this operation, ensure that the services of all smart ports on the controller are stopped. 
2. After performing this operation, create a new network based on the current work mode of the smart ports on the controller.
