This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3 and Dorado18000 V3. Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

change mm_user password

Function

The change mm_user password command is used to change the password of a machine-machine user.

Format

change mm_user password [ user_name=? ]

User name.

The value consists of 5 to 32 ASCII characters, including digits, letters, and underscores (_), and must start with a letter.

NOTE:

"user_name" must be the user name queried by running the "show mm_user general" command. Otherwise, the command fails to be executed.

Usage Guidelines

Run the "change mm_user password" command without parameters to change the login password of machine-machine account "mm_user". Run the "change mm_user password" command with parameters to change the login password of the machine-machine account corresponding to the parameters.

NOTE:

For details about how to change the user name of the machine-machine account, see the "change mm_user user_name" command.]

  • This command provides an interactive mode for entering passwords. When you are entering a password, nothing is displayed on the screen.
  • The password consists of 8 to 16 case-sensitive characters.
  • The password must contain special characters including ` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ = + \ | [ { } ] ; : ' " , < . > / ? and spaces.
  • The password must meet password complexity requirements:
  • When "password complex" is set to "Normal", the password must contain at least two of the following three: lowercase characters, uppercase characters, and digits.
  • When "password complex" is set to "High", the password must contain lowercase characters, uppercase characters, and digits.
  • The password must be different from the user name and user name in reversed order.
  • One character must not appear for more than three times consecutively.
  • To change the password of a machine-machine account in the "remote_replication" scenario, run the "change remote_device user_password" command on the remote device to ensure that the passwords on both devices are the same.

You can use the "change safe_strategy" command to change the password and login policies of a storage system.

  • Change the password of machine-machine user "mm_user".
    admin:/>change mm_user password

  • Change the login password of machine-machine account "mm_user1".
    admin:/>change mm_user password user_name=mm_user1
