Information on Command Line Misentries

Information on Command Line Misentries

When you have misentered a segment of a command line, you can see the information on the misentry provided by the command line interface (CLI). This prompting function can visually indicate any misentries, facilitating location and correction.

When a command line introduces a misentry, the CLI spots the error bit with a ^ symbol so that you can quickly locate the rectify the fault. In the following example, the second segment introduced a misentry for letter a and a proposed value is provided by the CLI.

admin:/>add part
             ^
port port_group

admin:/>add part
NOTE:

When a command line contains multiple misentries, only the initial misentry will be spotted.
