This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3 and Dorado18000 V3. Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

change lun_workload_type general

Function

The change lun_workload_type general command is used to modify the settings of a workload type including the name, io_size and so on.

Format

change lun_workload_type general id=? { name=? | io_size=? | dedup_enabled=? | compression_enabled=? } *

Parameters

Value

id=?

Indicates the workload type ID.

To obtain the value, press "Ctrl+A" or run "show lun_workload_type general" without parameters. The value ranges from 16 to 143.

name=?

Indicates the workload type name need to be changed into.

The value contains 1 to 31 ASCII characters,including digits, letters, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.).

io_size=?

Indicates the request size of the workload type.

The value is in the format of "4KB", "8KB", "16KB", "32KB", "64KB" or ">64KB".

compression_enabled=?

Enable compression or not.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where

  • "yes": The compression function will be enabled.
  • "no": The compression function will not be enabled.

dedup_enabled=?

Enable deduplication or not.

The value can be "yes" or "no", where

  • "yes": The deduplication function will be enabled.
  • "no": The deduplication function will not be enabled.

Usage Guidelines

  • Before running this command, ensure that the selected workload type is exactly the one you want to modify its settings.
  • Before running this command (not to change names), ensure that no LUN uses the workload type..

Example

Change the io_size of workload type "16" to "16KB".

admin:/>change lun_workload_type general id=16 io_size=16KB
