This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3 and Dorado18000 V3. Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

change lun_migration

Function

The change lun_migration command is used to change the LUN migration properties.

Format

change lun_migration source_lun_id=? [ speed=? ] [ work_mode=? ]

source_lun_id=?

ID of a source LUN.

Run the "show lun_migration general" command without parameters to obtain the value.

period_speed=?

Migration speed in a specified period.

The value can be:

  • "Low": 0 to 5 MB/s. This speed applies to scenarios where the service load is very heavy.
  • "Middle": 5 to 20 MB/s. For Dorado3000 V3, the value is from 5 to 10 MB/s. For others, the value is from 10 to 20 MB/s. This speed is applied when system service load is relatively heavy.
  • "High": 10 to 70 MB/s. For Dorado3000 V3, the value is from 10 to 20 MB/s. For Dorado5000 V3 (SAS), the value is from 20 to 35 MB/s. For Dorado5000 V3 (NVMe), Dorado6000 V3, and Dorado18000 V3, the value is from 50 to 70 MB/s. This speed applies to scenarios where the service load is relatively light.
  • "Highest": more than 100 MB/s. This speed applies to scenarios where the service load is light.

period_end_day=?

End day of a specified period.

The value is from 2000-01-01 to 2035-12-31.

period_start_day=?

Start day of a specified period.

The value is from 2000-01-01 to 2035-12-31.

duration=?

Duration of a specified period.

The value is from 00:00 to 23:59.

period_start_time=?

Start time of a specified period.

The value is from 00:00 to 23:59.

speed=?

LUN migration speed.

The value can be:

  • "Low": 0 to 5 MB/s. This speed applies to scenarios where the service load is very heavy.
  • "Middle": 5 to 20 MB/s. For Dorado3000 V3, the value is from 5 to 10 MB/s. For others, the value is from 10 to 20 MB/s. This speed is applied when system service load is relatively heavy.
  • "High": 10 to 70 MB/s. For Dorado3000 V3, the value is from 10 to 20 MB/s. For Dorado5000 V3 (SAS), the value is from 20 to 35 MB/s. work_mode=?

LUN migration split mode.

The value can be "Auto" and "Manual", and the default value is "Auto".

Example

  • Change the LUN migration speed.
    admin:/>change lun_migration source_lun_id=5 speed=High 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Change the LUN migration split mode.
    admin:/>change lun_migration source_lun_id=5 work_mode=Manual 
    Command executed successfully.
  • Change the LUN migration speed to the highest speed.
    admin:/>change lun_migration source_lun_id=5 speed=Highest 
    WARNING: You are about to select the "Highest" speed for synchronization. 
    After the operation, a SmartMigration pair will be synchronized at the highest speed, which may cause overloaded services, disconnection of the SmartMigration pair, and deteriorated host performance.  
    Suggestion: Select the "High" speed. If you select the "Highest" speed, check the performance of the data receiving end and host services to prevent the disconnection of the SmartMigration pair during synchronization and to ensure host performance.

  • Change the specified speed in a period for LUN migration.
