Logging In to the Key Management Server's Management Interface Through the Serial Port

This section describes how to log in to the key management server's management interface through the serial port.

Prerequisites
  • The maintenance terminal has been connected to the key management server through the serial port.
  • Management software that supports serial port communication has been installed on the maintenance terminal.
Context

The following procedure uses PuTTY as an example. You can download PuTTY from the chiark website.

Procedure
  1. Run PuTTY.
  2. Choose Connection > Serial.

    The serial port setting page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-43.

  3. Set Serial line to connect to to the maintenance terminal's serial port connected to the key management server, and set Speed (baud) to 19200. Then click Open.

    The CLI window is displayed.

  4. Enter the user name and password to log in to the key management server's CLI management interface.

Logging In to the Key Management Server's Web Interface Through the Management Port

This section describes how to log in to the key management server's web interface through the management port.

Prerequisites
  • Network configuration of the key management server has been completed using the serial port.
  • The maintenance terminal is communicating properly with the key management server.
Context

The following procedure uses Google Chrome as an example.

Procedure
  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Input https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:Port in the address box and press Enter. XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX indicates the management port IP address of the key management server. Port indicates the web accessing port, which is 9443 by default.

    The Administrator Authentication page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-44.

  3. Enter the user name and password, and click Log In.

    NOTE:

    The system will lock your account for 30 minutes if you enter an incorrect password five times consecutively.

    • If this is not your first login, the main page of the key management server's web interface is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-45.

    • If this is your first login, perform the following steps:
      1. On the Choose a New Password page that is displayed, enter the original password and the new password of the current user.

      2. Click Change Password.

        The main page of the key management server's web interface is displayed.
