OceanStor DeviceManager

This section provides a brief introduction on DeviceManager and describes how to obtain and log in to it.


OceanStor DeviceManager is a piece of integrated storage management software developed by Huawei. It can be used to monitor and manage a storage system in terms of its performance, alarms, events, power consumption, and running status. For details on how to use OceanStor DeviceManager, see section Using OceanStor DeviceManager to Monitor Storage System Performance.


OceanStor DeviceManager is installed in storage systems before delivery.

Login Method

You can access OceanStor DeviceManager on any maintenance terminal connected to the storage system. Log in by entering the management network port IP address and the local or domain user name. By default, OceanStor DeviceManager allows 32 users to log in simultaneously.

For example:

  1. Open a web browser on your maintenance terminal.
  2. Enter https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8088 in the address box and press Enter.

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX indicates the management network port IP address of the storage system.

The default user name and password for logging in to OceanStor DeviceManager are admin and Admin@storage, respectively. For security purposes, change the default password upon first login and periodically thereafter. For details about how to change the password, see the Administrator Guide of the corresponding product model.
