SystemReporter

This section provides a brief introduction about SystemReporter and describes how to obtain and log in to it.

Introduction

SystemReporter is a tool for collecting, analyzing, and predicting performance indicators of a storage system. It employs data collection, archiving, analysis, and prediction to provide real-time performance monitoring, historical trend analysis, comparison analysis, and capacity prediction. For details, see section Using SystemReporter to Monitor Storage System Performance.

Availability

After installing SystemReporter, you can use it to monitor the performance of OceanStor Dorado V3 series storage system without purchasing a license.

To obtain the SystemReporter installation package, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to https://support.huawei.com/enterprise, enter the product model in the search bar, and select the suggested path to go to the corresponding documentation page.
  2. Click the Downloads tab to go to the software download page.
  3. Select the corresponding version and patch number.
  4. On the page that is displayed, download the SystemReporter installation package.

For details on how to obtain and install SystemReporter, see the corresponding SystemReporter user guide.

Login Method

On a maintenance terminal, open a web browser and enter https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:port in the address box to log in to SystemReporter.

  • XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX indicates the system communication IPv4 address assigned during the installation of SystemReporter.
  • port indicates the ID of the HTTPS service port. The default port ID is 8088. If an HTTPS service port is manually specified during the software installation, use the specified port ID.
NOTE:

You can also enter https://[IPv6]:port in the browser to log in to SystemReporter. IPv6 indicates the system communication IPv6 address assigned during the installation of SystemReporter. port indicates the ID of the HTTPS service port. The default port number is 8088. If an HTTPS service port is manually specified during the software installation, use the specified port ID.

The default user name and password for logging in to SystemReporter are admin and Admin@storage, respectively. For security purposes, change the default password upon first login and periodically thereafter. For details about how to change the password, see the corresponding SystemReporter user guide.
