Checking Event Information of a Storage System

An event list contains information about all Info and cleared alarms in a storage system.


  1. Log in to OceanStor DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Monitor > Alarms and Events.

    The Alarms and Events page is displayed.

  3. Click All Events.

  4. Optional: Set Occurred At.

    Occurred At can be All or Custom.

    • All: The event occurrence time is not limited. All event information is displayed.
    • Custom: Event information generated during the customized time period is displayed. If Custom is selected, you need to define a time period.

  5. Optional: Set Level of the events that you want to view and then click Search.

    Level can be set to All, Critical, Major, Warning, and Information.

  6. Select an event and its details will be displayed in the right pane.

    Details of an event include Level, Device Name, Device Location, ID, Occurred At, Recovered At, Type, Status, Sequence No, Details, and Suggestion. Troubleshoot the fault based on the details.

  7. Optional: Export events.

    Choose Save As > Save All, or select the alarms that you want to export and choose Save As > Save Selected. Then perform operations as prompted.


    The event information is exported into a .tgz file (Save All) or .xls file (Save Selected).
