Taking Control of a LUN from a Heterogeneous Storage System

Implementation of SmartMigration between storage systems requires the LUN takeover function of SmartVirtualization. Before creating a SmartMigration task, let the local storage system take control of a LUN from a heterogeneous storage system. Then use the LUN as the source LUN of a SmartMigration task and migrate services from the heterogeneous storage system to the local storage system.

Context

The takeover of LUNs from a heterogeneous storage system includes scanning for LUNs, creating a storage pool, and configuring an eDevLUN. For details, see SmartVirtualization Feature Guide.
