Checking the System Information

Checking the System Information

On the system information page, you can learn about storage system alarms, cluster capacity trend, and performance.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. On the home page, view the system information in the current device. Table 3-2 describes the system information items.

    Item

    Description

    Disks

    In the Disks area, check the health status of the disks.

    • Normal status: Normal
    • Abnormal status: Faulty and Suboptimal

    Servers

    In the Servers area, check the health status of the servers.

    • Normal status: Normal
    • Abnormal status: Faulty

    Alarms

    In the Alarms area, view the alarm information about the current device.

    NOTE:

    Click More to enter the Alarms and Events page.

    Cluster Capacity

    In the Cluster Capacity area, view the total capacity, main storage capacity, cache capacity, and unconfigured capacity of the cluster.

    NOTE:

    Security administrators cannot view the total capacity, main storage capacity, cache capacity, and unconfigured capacity of the cluster.

    Storage Pool Capacity Usage

    In the Storage Pool Capacity area, view the total capacity, used capacity, and capacity usage of the storage pool.

    NOTE:
    • Click More to access the Storage Pools page.
    • Security administrators cannot view the storage pool capacity.

    Performance Indicators

    In the Performance Indicators area, view the object storage bandwidth (GB/s), number of operations performed every 10 seconds, and the average values of GET, PUT, read bandwidth, and write bandwidth.

    Storage Pools

    In the Storage Pools area, view the health status of the storage pools.

    • Normal status: Healthy
    • Abnormal status: Faulty, Write-protected, Faulty and write-protected, Stopped, and Reconstructing.

Exception Handling

  • If Disks, Servers, and Storage Pools are abnormal, view and handle the alarms by referring to Checking and Handling Alarms.
  • If the storage pool capacity usage exceeds 70%, click in the upper right corner of the page to open the online help document and refer to the related chapter to release system space or expand the capacity.
