Viewing Certificates

This operation enables you to view the certificates of the current storage device.


Only the super administrator and security administrator can view the device certificate.


  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Settings > Certificate Management.
  3. View information about imported certificates.

    Table 4-22 describes related parameters.

    Indicates the certificate scenario.

    Expiration Warning Days

    Indicates the number of days before certificate expiration. The system sends a warning as soon as the number of days before certificate expiration is reached. The value ranges from 7 to 180, in unit of days.

    CA Certificate

    Indicates a CA certificate's state and expiration date. Possible certificate states are Valid, Non-existent, and Invalid.

  4. View details about a certificate.

    1. Select the certificate whose details you want to view and click .
    2. View certificate details in the drop-down box. Table 4-23 describes related parameters.

      Certificate Type

      Indicates the type of a certificate file.

      Expiration Date

      Indicates the expiration date of a certificate.

      Issued By

      Indicates the issuer of a certificate.

      Used By

      Indicates the user of a certificate.


      Indicates a hashed value for the certificate content. Every certificate has a unique value. When obtaining a certificate, the storage system verifies the certificate fingerprint to ensure that the certificate content has not been modified by an unauthorized user. If the certificate fingerprint obtained by the storage system is different from the fingerprint configured in the PKI domain, the storage system will reject the certificate.

      Key Algorithm

      Indicates the key algorithm of a certificate.

      Key Length

      Indicates the key length of a certificate.
