3AZ Networking Deployment Solution

Figure 3-1 shows the 3AZ networking solution.

In actual networking planning, the 3AZ networking solution must meet the following requirements:

  • The service plane, storage plane, control plane, and BMC plane need to communicate with each other through the 3AZ network.
  • The data replication traffic between AZs of the storage planes is heavy. You are advised to use a dedicated network to transmit data.
  • The VLAN IDs of the same planes of the 3AZ networking solution must be the same. The management plane must be on a layer-2 network (mainly used for managing each floating IP address).
  • The bandwidth between AZs must be at least three times the access capability of a single AZ.
  • Each of two AZs must have one node as the management node. This prevents the entire cluster from becoming faulty when all management nodes are in the same AZ.
  • The back-end aggregation switch can be CE7800 or CE12800.
  • Traffic control must be enabled on CE6800 switches and back-end aggregation switches. Trunk must be configured between CE6800 switches and back-end aggregation switches.
