Manually Filling in the Network Deployment Template (for FusionStorage 7.0.1)

If you have obtained a network deployment template of the target version, manually fill in the template.

Prerequisites

  • You have obtained the network deployment template of the target version.
  • You have planned system deployment parameters and IP addresses.

Precautions

You are advised to close other excel files before opening the deployment template.

Procedure

  1. Open the deployment template.
  2. Enable macros in the deployment template.
  3. Fill in the deployment template.

    1. In the Network Setting sheet, enter Cluster Information. Table 4-6 describes the related parameters.

      Parameter

      Description

      Cluster Name

      Indicates the unique name of a cluster, used to identify the cluster.

      • The value contains uppercase letters, lowercase letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_). It must start with a letter and cannot end with a hyphen (-) or underscore (_).
      • The value contains 1 to 64 characters.

      DeployManager Floating IP Address

      Belongs to the management plane and is used to access DeployManager.

      DeviceManager Floating IP Address

      Belongs to the management plane and is used to access DeviceManager.

      Configuration List for Floating IP Address

      Belongs to the storage plane and includes the DeployManager back-end floating IP address, HA floating IP address, GaussDB floating IP address, OAM-I floating IP address, OAM-P floating IP address, and OAM-S floating IP address.

    2. Set Network Information. Table 4-7 describes the related parameters.

      Parameter

      Description

      Independent Management Network Port

      • If this parameter is set to Yes, the management plane alone uses the NIC port of a storage node as the management network port.
      • If this parameter is set to No, the management plane shares physical network ports with the service plane or storage/control plane and each plane is configured with an independent VLAN.

      Front-end Network Type

      The value can be GE or 10GE/25GE.

      Deployment Mode

      Select Symmetric Deployment.

      Service Type

      The value can be OBS or HDFS.

      Config 3AZ

      The value can be Single AZ or 3AZ.

      Whether the front and rear ends share switches

      The value can be Yes or No.

    3. Click Add Subnetwork and set Subnetwork Information. Table 4-8 describes the related parameters.
      NOTE:
      • Nodes connected to the same pair of switches form a subnet.
      • You can click Del Subnetwork to delete subnet information.

      Parameter

      Description

      Subnet SN

      The parameter value starts from 1 and is automatically generated and cannot be changed.

      Deployment Type

      Select Storage Subnet.

      Node Type

      The value can be 2288H V5, 5288 V5, Taishan 5280, Taishan 2280, Taishan 5280 V2, or Taishan 2280 V2.

      Number of Nodes

      The value ranges from 1 to 40.

      AZ ID

      ID of an AZ to which the subnet belongs.

      • The value contains 1 to 20 characters and starts with a letter. It can contain digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_), and cannot end with a hyphen (-) or underscore (_).
      • If there are multiple subnets in the single AZ scenario, you only need to enter the AZ ID in one of the subnets.
      • In the 3AZ scenario, each subnet must be configured with an AZ ID, and the number of AZ IDs cannot exceed three.

      Network Plane

      Specify VLAN ID, Gateway, Subnet Mask, and Start IP Address of each network plane as indicated in IP Address Planning.

      NOTE:

      VLAN ID of each plane must be unique and its value ranges from 1 to 4094.

    4. In the Host Setting sheet, click Refresh Server Information.

      The latest host information is displayed in the deployment template.

    5. Enter or modify host information. Table 4-9 describes the related parameters.

      Parameter

      Description

      Cabinet No.

      Indicates the cabinet where a storage node resides. Set this parameter based on site requirements.

      Slot No.

      The value is generated automatically. You can change the value based on site requirements.

      Node Name

      The value is generated automatically. You can change the value based on site requirements.

      Node SN

      Indicates the SN of a storage node. Use either of the following methods to obtain the SN:

      • Check the SN (the character string on the right of SN) on the nameplate on the front panel of the storage node.
      • Log in to the operating system of the storage node using the KVM, and run the ipmitool fru command to check the value of Product Serial.
      • Log in to the iBMC management page of the storage node remotely and view the value of Product Serial Number on the Information tab page. For details, see the FusionStorage OBS Administrator Guide.

      IP Address

      When the host information is refreshed, the IP addresses are automatically allocated.

      NOTICE:

      Change the IP addresses based on site requirements. The IP addresses must be unique. Otherwise, the deployment fails.

    6. Click Refresh Node Role.

      The role information about each node is displayed in the Node Role column.

      NOTE:

      Node roles are matched based on cabinet numbers of the nodes. Therefore, enter cabinet numbers before refreshing node roles.

    7. Click Generate Configuration File. Configuration files are automatically generated in the save path of the deployment template.
      • For OBS, preinstall.ini, Deploy_File.xlsx, and Host_File.xlsx are automatically generated.
      • For HDFS, HDFS_preinstall.ini, HDFS_Deploy_File.xlsx, and HDFS_Host_File.xlsx are automatically generated.
        NOTE:
        • preinstall.ini and HDFS_preinstall.ini are used to configure the network of storage nodes.
        • Host_File.xlsx and HDFS_Host_File.xlsx are used to add hosts.
        • Deploy_File.xlsx and HDFS_Deploy_File.xlsx are used to install microservices.
