Name

Color and Status

Description

SYS indicator

Off

The storage system is not running.

Green

  • Fast blinking: The storage system is starting.
  • Slow blinking: The storage system is correctly operating.

Steady red

  • The storage system is incorrectly started.
  • An alarm is generated on the power supply.
  • An alarm is generated on the fan.

MST indicator

Off

The device is not the primary stacking device.

Steady green

The device is a primary stacking device or is not stacked.

ID indicator

Off

The ID indicator is off by default.

Steady blue

Operation and maintenance personnel can remotely turn on or turn off the ID indicator so that on-site engineers can locate the device.

Service port indicator (10GE optical port)

NOTE:

Arrowheads show the positions of ports. A down arrowhead indicates a port at the bottom, and an up arrowhead indicates a port at the top.

Off (green)

No link has been established on the port or the port has been disabled.

Steady green

A link is established on the port.

Off (yellow)

The port is not sending or receiving data.

Blinking yellow

The port is sending or receiving data.

Service port indicator (40GE optical port)

NOTE:

Arrowheads show the positions of ports. A down arrowhead indicates a port at the bottom, and an up arrowhead indicates a port at the top.

Off

No link has been established on the port or the port has been disabled.

Steady green

A link is established on the port.

Blinking green

The port is sending or receiving data.

When a 40GE port is configured as four 10GE ports, this indicator shows the status of a 10GE port. The sequence number of the indicated 10GE port is identified by indicators 40GE Breakout 1/2/3/4 on the lower right corner of the panel.

NOTE:

Each 40GE port has a single-color indicator, which shows the status of the 40GE port by default.

10GE mode sequence number indicator of the 40GE port (1, 2, 3, or 4)

NOTE:

Indicators 1, 2, 3, and 4 are turned on in cyclic order, with each indicator keeping on for 5 seconds.

Off

40GE ports are working in 40GE mode and not divided into four 10GE ports.

Steady green

At least one 40GE port has been divided into four 10GE ports. When one or more 40GE ports are divided into four 10GE ports, these indicators identify the sequence numbers of the 10GE ports. A port indicator (3 in Figure 14-59) shows the status of a 10GE port converted from the corresponding 40GE port:

  • When indicator 1 is on, each port indicator shows the status of the first 10GE port derived from the corresponding 40GE port.
  • When indicator 2 is on, each port indicator shows the status of the second 10GE port derived from the corresponding 40GE port.
  • When indicator 3 is on, each port indicator shows the status of the third 10GE port derived from the corresponding 40GE port.
  • When indicator 4 is on, each port indicator shows the status of the fourth 10GE port derived from the corresponding 40GE port.

ACT indicator

Off

The USB flash drive is not used for deployment by default.

Green

  • Steady on: Deployment is completed using a USB flash drive.
  • Blinking at 0.5 Hz: The data on the USB flash drive is being read.

Steady red

The USB-based deployment fails.

L/A indicator

Off

No link is established on the port.

Green

  • Steady on: The link is normal.
  • Blinking at 15 Hz: The port is receiving or sending data.

STATUS indicator of the power supply

Off

The input is abnormal, such as without power input, overvoltage, and undervoltage, or the output is abnormal, such as undervoltage and overheating.

Steady green

Normal

STATUS indicator of the fan module

Off

The fan module is not operating.

Green

  • Blinking at 0.5 Hz: The fan module is correctly operating and communicating.
  • Blinking at 4 Hz: The fan module is correctly operating but cannot correctly communicate.

Red

  • Steady on: The fan module is faulty.
  • Blinking at 0.5 Hz: An alarm is generated on the fan module. The causes for this problem include DIP switch errors, short circuits, fan blocking, and fan faults.
