Fault diagnosis LED

  • ---: The node is operating properly.
  • Error code: A fault occurs in node hardware.
  • For details about error codes, see Rack Server iBMC Alarm Handling. Obtain the document as follows:

Log in to http://support.huawei.com/enterprise, enter server model TaiShan 2280 V2 in the search box, and click the associated path that is displayed. The corresponding product page is displayed. Click Documentation, and search for and download the document of the desired version.

Health indicator

  • Steady green: The node is operating properly.
  • Blinking red at 1 Hz: A major alarm is generated.
  • Blinking red at 5 Hz: A critical alarm is generated.

UID button/indicator

The UID button/indicator helps identify and locate a node. You can turn on or off the UID indicator by pressing the UID button or remotely running a command on the CLI.

UID indicator:

  • Steady blue/Blinking blue: The node is located.
  • Off: The node is not located.

UID button:

  • To turn on or off the UID indicator, press this button.
  • To reset iBMC, hold down the UID button for 4 to 6 seconds.

Power button/indicator

Power indicator:

  • Steady yellow: The node is ready to power on.
  • Steady green: The node is properly powered on.
  • Blinking yellow: iBMC is starting.
  • Off: The node is not connected to a power source.

Power button:

  • When the node is powered on, you can press this button to shut down the OS.
  • When the node is powered on, you can hold down the button for 6 seconds to forcibly power it off.
  • When the node is ready to power on, you can press this button to power it on.

NMI button

The NMI button triggers a node to generate an NMI. To generate an NMI, press this button or click the button on the iBMC WebUI.

NOTE:
  • The NMI button is used when the OS cannot be used. Do not use this button when the node is running properly.
  • The NMI button is used only for internal commissioning. When using the NMI button, ensure that there is a corresponding NMI interruption processing program in the OS. Otherwise, the system may break down. Use the button with caution.

Network port link status indicator

Each indicator shows the status of an Ethernet LOM port.
