Connecting a Power Cable for a 5288 V5 36-Slot Node

This section describes how to install a power cable for a 5288 V5 36-slot node to provide power for the storage node.

Prerequisites

  • A PDU for the Huawei cabinet or a power distribution device for the third-party cabinet has been prepared.
  • All required tools have been prepared, containing Phillips screwdrivers, cable ties, diagonal pliers, and ESD gloves or an ESD wrist strap.
  • A 5288 V5 36-slot node has been installed.

Context

For details about power distribution of intra-cabinet components, see Typical Configurations of 5288 V5 36-Slot Nodes.

Procedure

  1. Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves.
  2. Insert one end of the power cable into the cable connector on the AC power supply module of the node, as shown in Figure 9-3.

  3. Use a velcro strap to bundle the power cable onto the handle of the power module.
  4. Connect the other end of the power cable to the power port of the immediately adjacent PDU and then lock it up, as shown in Figure 9-4.

To ensure that devices can operate stably, connect power cables on a device supplied by two power modules to separate PDUs.
