Creating an Oracle RAC Installation Directory

Create an Oracle RAC installation directory and modify the permissions, users, and user groups of the folders.


Perform the following operations on each database node as user root.

mkdir -p /u01/app/12.1.0/grid   
mkdir -p /u01/app/grid   
mkdir -p /u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/db  
chown -R grid:oinstall /u01/app   
chown -R oracle:oinstall  /u01/app/oracle   
chmod -R 775 /u01/
