DCP_103104506 The Remaining Disk Space Is Insufficient

Description

When the DCP detects that the usage of a disk or an array is higher than the threshold, this alarm is generated. The default detection period is 1 minute and the default threshold for the usage is 80%.

Attribute

Alarm ID Alarm Severity Alarm Type

103104506

Major

Enviromental alarm

Impact on the System

A high disk usage will cause a failure to write information in the disk and result in database exception.

Possible Causes

  • The disk usage of the DCP server is incorrect.
  • There are too many useless files in the disk.
  • The recycle bin is not cleared.
  • The DCP server receives too many device alarms, events, logs, and data. A large amount of data is exported from the database to disk files. As a result, the DCP server reserves too many temporary data and backup files.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the threshold for the disk usage of the DCP server is correct.

    1. Contact the administrator and check whether the threshold for the disk usage of the DCP server is correct.
      • If so, wait for the administrator to take measures. After the administrator takes measures, go to 1.b. If not, go to 5.
      • If not, go to 2.
    2. Wait for 5 minutes and check whether the alarm is cleared.
      • If so, the process is ended.
      • If not, go to 2.

  2. Use the Windows software to log in to the server and check whether the recycle bin is cleared.

    • If so, go to 4.
    • If not, clear the recycle bin and go to 3.

  3. Check whether there are useless files in the disk.
  4. Wait for 5 minutes and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If so, the process is ended.
    • If not, go to 5.

  5. Collect alarm information and contact Huawei technical support personnel.

Clearing

When the memory usage of a disk or an array is smaller than the threshold (default value 75%), this alarm will be automatically cleared.

NOTE:
After the alarm is reported to the EEM, the administrator rectifies the fault on the DCP that reports the alarm. If the alarm is rectified and the DCP restarts, the DCP that runs normally does not trigger the alarm and the alarm cannot be cleared automatically. The administrator has to manually clear the alarm before logging in to the EEM.
