When log or diagnostic information fails to be collected, or log or diagnostic information is collected successfully but fails to be uploaded to the Syslog or FTP server, the alarm is generated.

Impact on the System

You cannot query required logs on the Syslog or FTP server.

Possible Causes

The communication between the device and Syslog or FTP server is abnormal.


  1. Log in to the EEM as the administrator.
  2. Choose Resource > Device > Device List to access the Device List page.
  3. Click the device name under Asset Name to access the device page, and select Device maintenance from Select function to access the Collect Info page. Check whether parameters delivered by the EEM, including the server IP address, server port number, and user name for logging in to the FTP server, are correct.
    • If parameters are correct, go to 4.
    • If parameters are incorrect, modify error information and deliver parameters again.
  4. Check whether the communication between the DCU and FTP or Syslog server is normal.
    • If the communication is normal, go to 5.
    • If the communication is abnormal, contact network engineers to restore the network between the DCU and FTP or Syslog server.
  5. Check whether required services are enabled.
    • If services are enabled, go to 6.
    • If services are not enabled, enable them.
  6. Collect alarms and configurations and contact Huawei technical support personnel.


The alarm needs to be cleared manually.
