Description

This alarm is generated when the available storage space of a DCU is smaller than 10% of the total space.

Impact on the System

  • The available storage space of the DCU is insufficient, which may result in device upgrade failure.
  • The storage space of the DCU is used up, and the DCU functions are unavailable.

Possible Causes

  • Many unnecessary upgrade files are stored on the DCU.
  • Many unnecessary logs are stored on the DCU.
  • Data files of electrical meters stored on the DCU occupy a large storage space.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the EEM as the administrator.
  2. Choose Monitoring > Alarm > Current Alarm, and check information about the DCU that reports the alarm.
  3. Click the asset number of the DCU in the Alarm Source column in Alarm List. The page for managing the DCU is displayed.
  4. Set Select function to Parameter management.
  5. Under the Commons submenu of Parameter management, click Select. The Add Parameter dialog box is displayed.
  6. Choose Device Parameters > Control > Space Cleaning, and click OK. Parameter settings are displayed in the list under Commons.
  7. Click Deliver to deliver a storage space clearing command to the DCU.

Clearing

The system cannot automatically clear alarms. You need to manually clear the alarm.
