Description

When the communication between the DCP and database is interrupted, this alarm is generated.

Communication alarm

Impact on the System

The data cached on the DCP and database is inconsistent. As a result, profile query fails and a DCP service exception occurs.

Possible Causes

  • The database configuration of the DCP is incorrect.
  • The network where the database server is deployed is interrupted.
  • A database service exception occurs.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the database configuration of the DCP is correct.

    • If so, proceed to the next step.
    • If not, modify the database configuration and restart the DCP.

  2. Check whether the network where the database server is deployed is normal.

    • If so, proceed to the next step.
    • If not, rectify the fault on the network. After the network becomes normal, the communication between the DCP and database is restored and the alarm is cleared automatically after 5 minutes.

  3. Check whether the database service is normal.

    • If so, collect alarm information and contact Huawei technical support personnel.
    • If not, rectify the database fault and restore the database service. After the database service is restored, the communication between the DCP and database is restored and the alarm is automatically cleared after 5 minutes.

Clearing

After the communication between the DCP and database is restored, the EEM automatically clears the alarm.

NOTE:
After the alarm is reported to the EEM, the administrator rectifies the fault on the DCP that reports the alarm. If the alarm is rectified and the DCP restarts, the DCP that runs normally does not trigger the alarm and the alarm cannot be cleared automatically. The administrator has to manually clear the alarm before logging in to the EEM.
