Impact on the System

The DCU loses some or all of the configurations, and the DCU cannot go online.

Possible Causes

  • The DCU's active configuration file iot_cfg.c is damaged or lost.
  • The DCU's standby configuration file iot_cfg_bak.c is damaged or lost.
  • The DCU's active and standby configuration files iot_cfg.c and iot_cfg_bak.c are damaged or lost.

  1. Check alarm location information and confirm the information about the electrical meter on which the alarm occurs.
    1. Start the EEM, enter the user name and password, and click Go to log in to the EEM.
    2. Choose Monitoring > Alarm > Current Alarm to access the Current Alarm page and view the alarm list.
    3. Click next to the alarm. The system displays detailed information about the alarm, such as alarm location.
  2. Confirm the DCU that generates the alarm and log in to the DCU.
  3. Save the current configurations of the DCU, and restart the DCU.

    During the DCU startup:
    • If the active or standby configuration file is damaged or lost, the DCU automatically backs up the standby or active configuration file.
    • If both the active and standby configuration files are damaged, the DCU restores configurations from the active configuration file to the maximum extent.
    • If both the active and standby configuration files are lost, the DCU obtains the configuration files from the startup software package.

  4. If the alarm persists after the DCU is restarted, collect information during the alarm handling process, and contact Huawei technical support personnel.

The alarm cannot be automatically cleared by the system and needs to be cleared manually.
