A meter is offline for a long period.

Alarm ID Alarm Severity Alarm Type
113104301 Major Communication alarm

Impact on the System

The meter is offline and cannot communicate with the system.

Possible Causes

The meter does not log in to the network for a long period.

  1. Check whether the electrical meter is powered on.
    • If so, go to 2.
    • If not, power on the electrical meter, wait for the electrical meter to go online.
  2. Check whether the electrical meter is connected to the network. For PLC and RF meters and the DCC, you can check the indicators on tail-end subcards.
    • If so, go to 6.
    • If not, go to 3.
  3. Log in to the EEM as the administrator.
  4. Choose Resource > Device > Device List to access the Device List page.
  5. Click a device name under Asset Name to access the device page. Select Parameter management from the Select function drop-down list box, and click White List to access the White List page. Check whether there is whitelist information about the electrical meter on the DCU.
    • If so, go to 8.
    • If not, reconfigure the electrical meter whitelist, wait for the electrical meter to go online.
  6. Check whether the PLC meter, RF meter, or DCC is connected to another DCU.
    • If so, go to 7.
    • If not, go to 8.
  7. Check whether the PLC/RF meter or the RS485 meter connected to the DCC is used.
    • PLC/RF meter: Disconnect it from the DCU, and connect it to the correct DCU.
    • RS485 meter: Disconnect the DCC from the DCU, and connect the DCC to the correct DCU.
  8. Access the single NE page in the EEM and select Summary from the Select function drop-down list box. Check whether the logical device name, communication address, encryption algorithm, and password of the electrical meter profile are correct.
    • If so, go to 9.
    • If not, correctly reconfigure parameters in the electrical meter profile.
  9. Check whether the connection between the DCU and PLC meter or RF meter is normal or whether the RS485 line is normal.
    • If so, collect the alarm and electrical meter configuration, and contact Huawei technical support personnel.
    • If not, contact network engineers to restore the network.

The alarm cannot be automatically cleared by the system and needs to be cleared manually.
