DCU_103104426 PLC Chip Fault

Description

The DCU periodically checks the PLC subcard. When the PLC subcard is loose or fails, this alarm is generated.

Impact on the System

PLC communication of the DCU is unavailable, and the communication between the DCU and PLC meter is interrupted.

Possible Causes

  • The PLC subcard is loose.
  • The PLC chip fails.

Procedure

  1. Check alarm information and determine information about the DCU that generates the alarm.
    1. Start the EEM, enter the user name and password, and click Go to log in to the EEM.
    2. Choose Monitoring > Alarm > Current Alarm to access the Current Alarm page, and check the alarm list.
    3. Click next to the alarm. The EEM displays detailed information about the alarm. Check alarm information.
  2. Find the DCU that generates the alarm, remove the PLC subcard from the DCU and correctly reinstall it into the DCU, and check whether the alarm is cleared.
    • If so, the process is ended.
    • If not, replace the PLC subcard and correctly reinstall it into the DCU.
  3. If the fault persists, collect information during the troubleshooting process and contact Huawei technical support personnel.

Clearing

The system automatically clears the alarm after the fault is rectified.
