Meter_113104017 Alarm About Communication Module Removal and Reinstallation


When the communication module of the meter is removed, this alarm is generated.

Impact on the System

  • If the PLC or RF meter generates this alarm, the PLC or RF meter cannot communication with the DCU.
  • If the GPRS meter generates this alarm, the GPRS meter cannot communication with the DCP.

Possible Causes

  • The meter communication module is removed.
  • The meter hardware is damaged.


  1. Check alarm location information and confirm the information about the electrical meter on which the alarm occurs.
    1. Start the EEM, enter the user name and password, and click Go to log in to the EEM.
    2. Choose Monitoring > Alarm > Current Alarm to access the Current Alarm page and view the alarm list.
    3. Click next to the alarm. The system displays detailed information about the alarm, such as alarm location.
  2. Find the meter that generates the alarm and check whether the communication module is removed onsite.
    • If so, reinstall the communication module into the meter,
    • If not, go to 3.
  3. Check whether the meter hardware is damaged.
    • If so, replace the damaged meter hardware.
    • If not, collect information during the troubleshooting process and contact Huawei technical support personnel.


The system automatically clears the alarm after the fault is rectified.
