Applying a QoS Profile

Different QoS profiles can be defined and then applied to different interfaces to perform QoS scheduling for user traffic.

Context

Do as follows to configure HQoS on the router:

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run interface interface-type interface-number [ .sub-interface ]

    The interface view is displayed.

  3. Choose the matched command line to apply QoS profiles on different types of interfaces.

    • To apply the QoS profile on the GE interface, Eth-Trunk interface, Ethernet sub-interface, GE sub-interface, and Eth-Trunk sub-interface, run:

      qos-profile qos-profile-name { inbound | outbound } [ identifier none ]  [ group  group-name ]
    • To apply the QoS profile on the Layer 2 GE interface, Layer 2 Eth-Trunk interface, and dot1q termination sub-interface, run:

      qos-profile qos-profile-name { inbound | outbound } vlan vlan-id1 [to vlan-id2]  identifier { vlan-id | none } [ group  group-name ]
    • To apply the QoS profile on the QinQ termination sub-interface, run:

      qos-profile qos-profile-name { inbound | outbound } pe-vid pe-vlan-id ce-vid ce-vlan-id1 [to ce-vlan-id2 ] identifier { pe-vid | ce-vid | pe-ce-vid | none } [ group group-name ]
    • To apply the QoS profile on the EVC layer-2 sub-interface, run:

      qos-profile qos-profile-name [ inbound | outbound ] [ identifier  { none | vid | ce-vid | vid-ce-vid } ] [ group group-name ]
    • To apply a QoS profile to an NVE interface, run:

      qos-profile profile-name { inbound | outbound } vni vni-id source sourceip peer peerip

  4. (Optional) Run qos schedule-tree distribute-mode outbound

    Weight-based bandwidth allocation for a trunk's member interfaces is configured for HQoS scheduling.

  5. (Optional) Configure weight-based bandwidth allocation.

    • To configure weight-based user-queue bandwidth allocation, run the qos user-queue member-link-scheduler distribute command.
    • To configure weight-based CAR bandwidth allocation, run the qos profile-car member-link-scheduler distribute command.
    • To configure weight-based bandwidth allocation for outgoing HQoS services on a trunk's member interfaces, run the qos hqos-outbound member-link-scheduler distribute command.
      NOTE:

      After the HQoS scheduling tree split function is enabled on a trunk interface, the rate limit of each trunk member interface is the bandwidth configured on the trunk interface by default. In this case, the traffic rate on the trunk interface multiplies. After the qos hqos-outbound member-link-scheduler distribute command is configured, weight-based bandwidth allocation is implemented for outgoing HQoS services on a trunk's member interfaces.

      The qos schedule-tree distribute-mode outbound command must be configured before the qos hqos-outbound member-link-scheduler distribute command is configured.

      The qos hqos-outbound member-link-scheduler distribute command is mutually exclusive with the qos port-shaping member-link-scheduler distribute or qos user-queue member-link-scheduler distribute command.

  6. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
