(Optional) Configuring a Port-Queue Template and Setting Scheduling Parameters

You can configure a port-queue template and apply it to interfaces to reduce workload of configuring port queues.

Context

You can set scheduling parameters for port queues in a port-queue template and apply the template to an interface to complete port queue configuration on the interface.

If no port-queue template are configured, the default port-queue template is used.

  • PQ scheduling is implemented for FQs of EF, CS6, and CS7 by default.

  • WFQ scheduling is implemented for the FQs of BE, AF1, AF2, AF3, and AF4 in a weight ratio of 10:10:10:15:15 by default.

  • Traffic shaping is not implemented by default.

  • The tail drop policy is used as the drop policy by default.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run port-queue-template port-queue-template-name

    A port-queue template is created, and the port-queue template view is displayed.

  3. Run queue cos-value { { pq | wfq weight weight-value | lpq } | shaping { shaping-value | shaping-percentage shaping-percentage-value } [ pbs pbs-value ] | port-wred wred-name | low-latency } *

    Port-queue scheduling parameters are set in the template.

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.

  5. Run quit

    The system view is displayed.

  6. Run interface interface-type interface-number

    The interface view is displayed.

  7. Run port-queue-template port-queue-template-name outbound

    The port-queue template is applied to the interface.

    NOTE:
    The port-queue command and the template configured using the port-queue-template command are mutually exclusive on an interface.

  8. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
