Networking Requirements

On the NG-MVPN network shown in Figure 5-3, the EMDI detection solution is deployed on all CEs, PEs, and Ps for real-time detection on the service packets that pass through all these nodes. The detection indicators include the packet loss rate, packet disorder rate, and jitter.

Configuration Roadmap

The configuration roadmap is as follows:

  1. Configure EMDI detection on Ps.
  2. Configure an EMDI channel group on the Ps, PEs, and CEs, respectively.
  3. Configure an EMDI board group on the Ps, PEs, and CEs, respectively.
  4. Bind the channel group to the board group on the Ps, PEs, and CEs, respectively.
  5. Configure EMDI jitter detection on Ps.
  6. Configure an EMDI detection period on the Ps, PEs, and CEs, respectively.
  7. Configure alarm thresholds and the number of alarm suppression times on the Ps, PEs, and CEs, respectively.

Data Preparation

To complete the configuration, you need the following data:

  1. Information about the channels to be detected, including the channel name, source address, and destination address
  2. Names of the boards used for EMDI detection

Procedure

  1. Configure EMDI detection on Ps.
