Distributed NAT444 Inter-chassis Hot Backup Solution

On the network shown in Figure 11-13, CPEs dial up through the BRAS (with CGN integrated). The BRAS assigns private IP addresses, post-NAT IP addresses, and port segments for CPEs. After receiving a packet from a PC, the corresponding CPE performs the first NAT for the packet and then sends the packet to BRAS1. Upon receipt of the packet, BRAS1 performs the second NAT. This solution is called distributed NAT444 inter-chassis hot backup because there are two NAT operations, the CGN function is deployed on different BRAS access points, and inter-chassis hot backup is deployed between BRAS1 and BRAS2 to enhance CGN service reliability.
