This section lists the DC power module specifications, cable specifications, and current parameters of each circuit breaker and each power line for the PDF.

Installing Power Cables

To install power cables, perform the following steps:

  1. Attach temporary labels to both ends of each power cable.
  2. Route power cables along the cable ladder and the cable tray to the chassis.
  3. Remove plastic covers on connection boxes of power modules and connect power cables to the corresponding terminals, as shown in Figure 12-15. Connect the other end of each power cable to the PDF.
  4. Re-install the plastic cover for each power module.
  5. Use cable ties to bundle the cables every 150 mm (5.91 in.) upward from the bottom and secure the cables to the cable tray.
  6. Attach permanent labels 20 mm (0.79 in.) from both ends of each ground cable.

NOTE:

To ensure that the power cable is of sufficient length, perform the following steps:

  1. Prepare a power cable with a length longer than the distance between the power module and PDF.
  2. Install a terminal on one end of the power cable and connect the terminal to the device.
  3. Route the power cable, bind it to the cable tray, and cut any excess length from the cable. Install a terminal on the other end of the power cable and connect the terminal to the PDF.
