Maintaining OPS

This section describes how to maintain OPS.

Stopping an OPS Task

The OPS allows you to run the scripts you make. You can stop a script that is running or waits to run.

Context

When you stop a script, subsequent operations specified in the script will not be performed. Exercise caution when you perform this operation.

Procedure

  1. (Optional) Run the display ops process current command to check running OPS tasks and obtain the ID of the task that you want to stop.
  2. Run the ops stop process process-id command to stop an OPS task.

Stopping an Assistant

If an assistant is no longer needed, you can stop it.

Context

Stopping a running assistant interrupts the task of the assistant. Exercise caution when you perform this operation.

NOTE:
This configuration process is supported only on the Admin-VS.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run ops

    The OPS view is displayed.

  3. Stopping a script assistant.

    Run the shutdown script-assistant file-name command to stop a script assistant.

    To start the script assistant, run the undo shutdown script-assistant file-name command.

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.

Disabling the MTP Function for Maintenance Assistants

The MTP function of maintenance assistants is used to monitor connectivity of various protocols. When a protocol connectivity is interrupted, the maintenance assistant script is run to collect onsite information for maintainability improvement.

Context

By default, the MTP function is enabled for maintenance assistants. To disable the MTP function, perform the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run ops

    The OPS view is displayed.

  3. Run mtp assistant disable

    The MTP function is disabled for maintenance assistants.
