Context

If PDs only need to be powered within a certain time range, you can configure the time range-based power function. This allows a device to stop powering the PDs after the time range elapses, therefore conserving energy.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run time-range time-range-name { start-time to end-time days | from time1 date1 [ to time2 date2 ] }

    A time range during which the NE20E equipment powers off the PD is configured.

  3. Run interface interface-type interface-number

    The interface view is displayed.

  4. Run poe power-off time-range time-range-name

    The interconnected PD is powered off after the time range elapses.

    To ensure around-the-clock power supply to the PD, run the undo poe power-off time-range command to disable the function of powering off a PD within a certain time range.
