Creating and Downloading a CSR File

Prerequisites

The local private key password file has been imported. For details, see Importing Web Certificates.

Use a private key generation tool (such as the OpenSSL) to generate the local private key password file by following the instructions of technical engineers.

Background

Procedure

1. Choose System Settings > Installation.

   The Installation page is displayed.

2. Click Export CSR File.
3. Enter the information about the CSR file, as shown in Table 3-36. Then click OK.
   Table 3-36  CSR file parameters

   Parameter	Description	Setting
   Common Name (CN)	Specifies the name of the CSR file.	This parameter does not have a default value.
   Organizational Unit (OU)	Specifies the organizational unit to which the CSR file belongs.	This parameter does not have a default value.
   Organization (O)	Specifies the organization to which the CSR file belongs.	This parameter does not have a default value.
   City or Locality (L)	Specifies the city or region to which the CSR file belongs.	This parameter does not have a default value. Example: New York
   State or Province (ST)	Specifies the state or province to which the CSR file belongs.	This parameter does not have a default value. Example: State of New York
   Country (C)	Specifies the country to which the CSR file belongs.	This parameter does not have a default value. Example: United States

   The created CSR file will be stored on the endpoint.

4. Click Download the CSR file to save the CSR file to the local computer.
