Configuring Audio
After connecting audio cables, set the audio parameters.
Procedure
- Choose Audio tab. and click the
- Set the audio parameters listed in Table 3-17.

Switch controls
Controls whether audio signals collected by audio input devices, excluding the microphone array, are transmitted to your endpoint when you turn off the microphone array.
- MIC array only: Your endpoint can receive audio signals collected by audio input devices, excluding the microphone array, when you turn off the microphone array.
- All audio inputs: Your endpoint cannot receive audio signals collected by any audio input devices when you turn off the microphone array.
To enable your endpoint to receive audio signals again, do any of the following:
- Press the button on the microphone array to turn it on.
- Press the microphone button on the remote control to turn on the microphone array only or all audio input devices, depending on your settings of Switch controls.
- On the endpoint web interface, choose and select the audio input ports you want to enable.
- On the remote control UI, choose and select the audio input ports you want to enable.
The default value is All audio inputs.
Wireless MIC power saving mode
If you select this parameter, when the endpoint sleeps, the wireless microphone VPM220W also sleeps to save power. The VPM220W cannot be woken up when the endpoint is woken up. To wake up the VPM220W, press the mute button on it.
If you do not select this parameter, when the endpoint sleeps, the VPM220W also sleeps to save power. In addition, the VPM220W can be woken up when the endpoint is woken up.
The default value is Enable.
Secondary dial tone
Enables or disables tone prompts for secondary dials.
The default value is Disable.
Enable/Disable echo delay
Enables or disables the echo delay function. The Echo delay parameter takes effect only after the echo delay function is enabled.
The default value is Disable.
Echo delay
Adjusts the echo delay to eliminate echoes caused by delay in audio output during conferences.
The default value is 0.
Auxiliary output
Specifies whether to enable auxiliary output for audio output port 2 on the endpoint. If this function is enabled, audio output port 2 can be connected to a recording device to record all sound of the site. If this function is disabled, audio output port 2 can be connected to a VPT300 and has the same output as audio output port 1.
The default value is Enable.
HDMI audio using presentation port
Specifies the audio output policy of the HDMI video input port when the HDMI video input port of the endpoint is connected to the presentation source.- Enable: When the endpoint shares a presentation, both the local and remote sites can hear the audio input from the HDMI video input port. When the endpoint stops sharing the presentation, the local and remote sites cannot hear the audio input from the HDMI video input port.
- Disable:
- The local site is controlled by the AUDIO IN local output parameter. If the parameter is enabled, the local site can hear the audio input from the HDMI video input port. If the parameter is disabled, the local site cannot hear the audio input from the HDMI video input port.
- The remote site is controlled by the AUDIO IN remote output parameter. If the parameter is enabled, the remote site can hear the audio input from the HDMI video input port. If the parameter is disabled, the remote site cannot hear the audio input from the HDMI video input port.
NOTE:To set AUDIO IN local output and AUDIO IN remote output, choose on the web interface.The default value is Enable.
- Click Save.
The settings take effect immediately.
