Specifying Network Settings
Correct network settings enable your endpoint to properly communicate with other network devices.
- Setting IP Parameters
To use the endpoint on an IP network to implement video communication, correctly set IP parameters, which include DNS server address, network interface mode, and gateway address. - Setting Server Parameters
To enable video communications, the H.323 or SIP server parameters must be specified for the endpoint. You can connect the endpoint to a cloud platform. Then the endpoint can automatically obtain the H.323 or SIP server parameters from the cloud platform to complete its configuration process. Alternatively, you can manually define the H.323 or SIP server parameters for the endpoint. - Setting 4E1 Parameters
Only the TE60 supports 4E1 functions. If 4E1 lines are used for video communication, 4E1 parameters, such as the account, password, clock mode, signaling mode, and sensitivity, must be set. You are allowed to set 4E1 parameters only after a 4E1 interface card is inserted into the rear port on the TE60. - Setting Wi-Fi Parameters
To use your endpoint to implement video communication over a Wi-Fi network, configure the Wi-Fi settings. - Setting SNMP Parameters
To enable the videoconferencing network management system to manage your endpoint, configure the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) settings. - Setting Address Book Parameters
When you download site information from the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server, or corporate directory server using the endpoint, you need to configure the communications parameters between the endpoint and the server. - Setting Firewall Parameters
Correct firewall settings ensure the security of the video conferences held using your endpoint. - Setting Network Diagnostics Parameters
Correct settings on the ports used for diagnostics enable you to use a network diagnostics tool to diagnose your endpoint using the ports. - Setting QoS Parameters
Quality of service (QoS) settings determine the mode for processing IP data packets during a conference. - Setting TR-069 Parameters
Set CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP) TR-069 parameters to centrally manage endpoints. - Setting Broadsoft Parameters
Your endpoint can download and update configuration data from the configuration server on the Broadsoft platform after being connected to this platform. - Setting DDNS Parameters
An endpoint can be connected to a third-party Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS) server. After that, once the endpoint's domain name or IP address is changed, the change will dynamically take effect on the DNS server, ensuring that the correct IP address can be found based on the domain name. After the DDNS server is enabled and necessary parameters are defined for an endpoint, the endpoint can be managed based on its domain name.
