Switching Between Audio-only and Video Calls
When your endpoint sets up a SIP point-to-point call with a SIP site or Lync client, you can switch the call between audio-only and video modes.

The Switch Between Audio and Video dialog box is displayed.
- Perform either of the following:
- During an audio-only call:Click Turn On Video to send a video request.
Before the remote site accepts the request, you can click Cancel Video Request to cancel the request.
- During a video call:
- Click Turn Off Video to turn off both local and remote video and switch to an audio-only call.
- Click Hold to hide local video from the remote site.
To display the video of your site at the remote site again, click Cancel Hold.
- During an audio-only call:
When the Video request handling parameter described in Setting Server Parameters is set to Manual on your endpoint, you can manually accept or reject a video request from a remote site. If you do not acknowledge the request within 20 seconds, the request dialog box automatically exits.
