Enabling or Disabling Digital Signature Verification for Software Packages

Enabling or Disabling Digital Signature Verification for Software Packages

This section describes how to enable or disable digital signature verification for software packages. If you have higher requirements on the device security than on the device startup performance, enable digital signature verification.

Context

Digital signatures of software packages can be verified or not. You can enable or disable digital signature verification based on the requirements on the device security and startup performance. If you have higher requirements on the device security, enable digital signature verification. After digital signature verification is enabled, the startup performance of the main control board decreases. If you have higher requirements on the device startup performance, disable digital signature verification.

This configuration task is supported only on the Admin-VS.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run check code-signature { default | on | off }

    Digital signature verification is enabled or disabled for software packages.

  3. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
