Verifying the Configuration of VSI-based MAC Address Management

After configuring VSI-based MAC address management, check the set limits of MAC address learning and the aging time of MAC address entries.

Prerequisites

VSI-based MAC address management has been configured.

Procedure

  • Run the display mac-address aging-time vsi [ vsi-name ] command to check the aging time of MAC address entries.
  • Run the display mac-address [ mac-address ] [ vsi vsi-name ] [ verbose ] command to check detailed information about MAC address entries.
  • Run the display mac-address static [ vsi vsi-name ] command to check static MAC address entries.
  • Run the display mac-address dynamic [ vsi vsi-name ] command to check dynamic MAC address entries.
  • Run the display mac-address blackhole [ vsi vsi-name ] [ verbose ] command to check static black-hole MAC address entries.
  • Run the display mac-limit [ vsi vsi-name ] [ interface-type interface-number ] command to check the limits of MAC address learning.
  • Run the display vsi [ vsi vsi-name ] verbose command to check the MAC address learning mode.

Example

Run the display mac-address aging-time command. The command output shows the aging time of MAC address entries.

Run the display mac-address command. The command output shows all the MAC address entries. Check whether the static MAC address entries are configured correctly in the Type field.
