Configuring Connectivity Detection on the Network Side for a PWE3 Service

To implement connectivity detection on the network side of a PWE3 service, you can enable the PW loopback function for the PWE3 service.

Context

To implement connectivity detection on the network side of a PWE3 service, run the mpls l2vpn loop-check command to enable the PW loopback function for the PWE3 service. After the configuration is complete, user traffic is looped back on the public network side instead of being forwarded to the AC side.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run interface interface-type interface-number

    The interface view is displayed.

  3. Run mpls l2vpn loop-check

    The PW loopback function is enabled for the PWE3 service.

    NOTE:

    Enabling PW loopback for the PWE3 service will interrupt normal services.

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
