Verifying the Configuration of a VPLS to Access the Public Network or an L3VPN

Verifying the Configuration of a VPLS to Access the Public Network or an L3VPN

After configuring a VPLS network to access the public network or L3VPN successfully, you can view the binding relationship between the VE interface and the VE-Group, and information about VPLS VSIs.

Procedure

  • Run the display virtual-ethernet ve-group [ ve-group-id | slot slot-id ] command to check the binding relationship between VE interfaces and a VE-Group.
  • Run the display vsi [ name vsi-name ] [ verbose ] command to check information about the VPLS VSI.

Example

Run the display virtual-ethernet ve-group command. You can view the VE interfaces in the VE-Group. For example:

<HUAWEI> display virtual-ethernet ve-group
 Ve-groupID TerminateVE AccessVE
 1 Virtual-Ethernet0/2/0 Virtual-Ethernet0/2/1
Total 1, 1 printed

Run the display vsi [ name vsi-name ] [ verbose ], you can view that the "VSI State" is Up; if the parameter is verbose, the "Interface Name" is "Virtual-Ethernet". For example:

<HUAWEI> display vsi name vsi1 verbose
*** VSI Name : vsi1
    Administrator VSI : no
    Isolate Spoken : disable
    VSI Index : 0
......
    VSI State : up
    VSI ID : 2
   *Peer Router ID : 3.3.3.9
......
    Interface Name : Virtual-Ethernet0/2/0.1
    State : up
    Last Up Time : 2009/03/25 14:50:25,
    Total Up Time : 0 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, 7 seconds
