RST

There is only one RST button for resetting the device.

The RST button can also be used to delete passwords and configuration files on the device. Once you press the RST button, the device starts to reset. Then you press and hold down the RST button 35s to 45s until the SATA and ALM indicators blink green. Then release the RST button so that the device starts to automatically delete passwords and configuration files. If you keep holding down the RST button (approximately 10s) until the two indicators are not blinking green simultaneously, the device only resets and does not delete the passwords and configuration files.

Interface Numbering Rules

On the NE05E-SR, an interface is numbered in the format of "slot number/subcard number/port number". The following part describes the details:

  • Slot number

    The slot number of NE05E-SR is always 0.

  • Subcard number

    The NE05E-SR does not support subcards. Therefore, the subcard number of the NE05E-SR is fixed as 2.

  • Port number

    The port numbers of service interfaces on the NE05E-SR begin with 0. Port numbering depends on the number of interfaces on the NE05E-SR.

NOTE:
The OAM interface is always numbered Ethernet 0/0/0.
