Collecting NE Operation Logs

Collecting NE Operation Logs

You can use the OMU to collect NE operation logs of the CGP, USM, MRP, CCF, and ECS. If you have used the VTS tool to collect fault information, skip this topic.

Principles

Collecting the operation logs of an NE helps learn the recent operations performed on the NE and find the fault cause. Table 3-3 describes the principles for collecting the operation logs of each NE.

Table 3-3 Collecting NE operation logs

NE

Principles

Required Time (in Minutes)

CGP/USM

Collect the operation logs generated before the fault occurred.

  • If the fault occurrence time has been determined, collect the operation logs generated within 2 hours before the fault occurred.
  • If the fault occurrence time is unknown, collect the operation logs generated within 24 hours before the first complaint was received.

Collect all operation logs displayed in query results.

A maximum of 1000 records are displayed in a query command output. If 1000 records are displayed, you can infer that the number of matching records may be more than 1000 and the extra records are not displayed. In this case, set the start time to the time displayed in the last matching record and run the query command again. Repeat this operation until all the matching records are displayed.

1

MRP

Collect system logs generated within 3 days before and after the fault occurred. If the fault occurs on the current day, collect the logs generated on the current day and within 3 days before the current day.

1

CCF

You can run LST OPTLOG to query a maximum of 1000 latest operation logs.

1

ECS

Collect the operation logs generated before the fault occurred.

  • If the fault occurrence time has been determined, collect the operation logs generated within 2 hours before the fault occurred.
  • If the fault occurrence time is unknown, collect the operation logs generated within 24 hours before the first complaint was received.
