Collecting Version Information

Collecting Version Information

You can use the OMU to collect version information about the CGP, USM, MRP, CCF, and ECS. If you have used the VTS tool to collect fault information, skip this topic.

Principles

Version information is essential to fault location and analysis. When a fault occurs, collecting version information helps locate the fault and find the fault cause.

Version information includes the NE version information, patch version information, and firmware version information. Collect version information based on the version type.

Procedure

  • Collect NE version information.
    1. Log in to the HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System.
    2. In the MML Command - CGP window, run LST ME to query the configuration of an NE.
    3. Save the information displayed in the query result.
  • Collect patch version information.
    1. Log in to the HUAWEI Operation & Maintenance System.
    2. In the MML Command - CGP window, run the following commands:
      • DSP PATCH: used to collect information about a hot patch.
      • DSP CPATCH: used to collect information about a server patch.
    3. Save the information displayed in the query result.
